This weekend I spent some time with my yarn collection. I pulled out every single skein, took a new picture of each item, and checked what I have listed in my stash in Ravelry. I have a LOT of yarn. And to be perfectly honest, I ordered something new over the weekend too.
Casper was interested in the sheepy smelling yarn.
I pulled out a fair number of full and partial skeins to be sold. They’ve actually already sold (thank you r/YarnSwap!) so now it’s just a matter of getting a shipping bag and getting them mailed out. But even with getting rid of some, there’s a lot of yarn here. It used to be that when work was slow I would take the time to go through my stash and make plans for what would happen with all my yarn, but work has gotten a bit more busy and I haven’t done that in quite a while. I’ll have to go back to making and effort to do that during non-work hours.
This weekend I also did some spinning on the Rose Water skein. I have about a quarter of the fiber to still spin so I don’t think it will take me long when I get to sitting down and focusing on it. That seems to be the crux of everything these days – finding the time to sit and focus on one thing. It was a quiet rainy weekend, and I did get some knitting done, but most of my days were spent on chores and resting up for the week. My husband and I did go to the farmer’s market. We picked up strawberries (my favorite food), garlic, tomatoes, cheese, jam, and bread.
Everything we bought was incredibly delicious. We still have some jam and cheese left but everything else has been devoured already. If only I could knit as quickly as I could get through some fresh strawberries! I wouldn’t have any stash left at all!
