I’m making quick progress on the Musselburgh hat. I’m nearly through the first skein already. It helps that I had a mostly quiet weekend where I just listened to an audiobook and knit.

I say “mostly” quiet because there was a messy incident over the weekend. Rosemary olive oil bagels sounded good to me but we didn’t have enough flour, so there was a quick run to the store needed. That part was uneventful. The drive home however, less quiet. I was driving through the back of the shopping center and a big truck ran a stop sign and hit me. Damage was minimal, thank goodness, but it’s still important to do your due diligence and exchange insurance and contact information. Well. He gave me bad insurance information and unsent the message he’d texted me with his name. The police got involved and it just turned into a mess. The police were helpful and got me all settled with the right information but there’s still the matter of damage to my car to deal with. I’ll get it all taken care of but it’s frustrating that he tried to screw me over.

On the bright side, rosemary olive oil bagels turned out beautifully.
