May socks and lace progress

Sock-tober has a much better ring to it than “May socks” but I didn’t finish them back in October when they were first started so May socks will have to do. I’m delighted to have finished a lingering project! My simple stranded shorty socks are finally complete! They’re just a tiny bit big and don’t fit my sock blockers all that well so today I went by my favorite yarn store, Warm and Fuzzy, and picked up new sock blockers. For now, they’re on the old plastic ones for display.

I’m trying to clean up my backlog of knits before heading off to Japan so I’ve also been working on my Soft Full Moon edging. It’s coming along but is such incredibly slow work.

I’ll be excited to see how this project finishes off. Lace is always something that looks terrible until it’s blocked. I do have another lace project planned out that I’m thinking of starting soon so I can have it in a state ready to carry along with me on my trip. Those 18 hour long flights sound like great possible knitting time even if I know I won’t be able to knit the entire time. Here’s to hoping they don’t confiscate my knitting needles before we leave!
