Something’s up. I’m not sure what it is but I’m struggling with these mitts. The second mitt specifically. I took them with me to music bingo with my husband’s sisters and brother in law and knit happily on them for quite a bit. Then I looked down at my work and realized that I’d make a mistake several rows back. It was tedious but I painstakingly tinked back a couple rows to fix it and move forward again. Kept going (doing very poorly at the whole bingo thing) until I checked again and realized I’d made the same mistake! I chalked it up to lack of true focus on my knitting and put them away. Later, at knit night, I tinked back again and fixed my issue. Started working my way forward again, only to realize that I didn’t have the right number of stitches and has missed the thumb increase this time. So, in a fit of frustration, I tore them out. I frogged the entire mitt and chatted all night at knit night rather than working on them.

I have since started again and, while I know there’s another mistake, I am determined to finish them this time. At worst, they’ll just have to have a visible mistake. Who cares? They’re hand made.

I’ve also been doing a little bit of spinning. I joined the Woolgatherings Fiber Club! This is my first months fiber. I MIGHT be behind already with two other months having arrived before this one is finished.

And finally, as a bonus, look at grey Ash and orange and white Mo enjoying some naptime. Ash sleeps wherever, Mo likes to sleep on my couch and wherever Ash is.
