Still ignoring that Theodore Wrap, but I’m enjoying myself with working on the Beeswax Mitts by Amy van de Laar. As I mentioned last time, I’ve knit these (and the cowl) before, but I gave them to my sister-in-law. I printed out all the Beeswax patterns and had a little debate with myself before deciding to move forward with the mitts first.

The pattern is well written and easy to follow. The knitting process can get a bit tight as you do all those cross-over/cables but not in an insurmountable way. I’ve made great progress since I started. A big part of that progress came in the form of going out with a crafty friend. We tried a new restaurant for lunch then visited Great Yarns. We shopped a little bit then sat down at their table in the store and worked for a bit. Ultimately we did end up moving to a nearby Boba shop just for some more space and privacy (and boba) but it was nice to hang out in Great Yarns for a bit and chat with the other crafters.

I’m on the last little bit of the mitt before the ribbing and thumb so it shouldn’t take me much longer to finish the first one and move on to the next. It’s a lovely little bit of handy-work (get it?)
