Happy to be home

It’s so delightful being home. Being in my own comfortable space with my wonderful husband and all three cats is the best. Even when Mo gets hyper and bites me, I’m still happy to be home. We had an incident recently where Mo rushed out the front door as I was coming in with full hands. Then he would run away like he was spooked every time we tried to catch him to bring him back inside. He ended up spending the night outside before my husband woke up early and saw him sitting and waiting to come back inside. I guess wild Mo has officially become an indoor cat. He certainly appreciates his favorite couch.

It’s also been lovely to have solid knitting time. I’ve been working on both the Urdr Shawl and my Theodore Wrap. I have realized I’ve made a mistake in the Urdr Shawl. It calls for the first section to be repeated 12 times. I’m not sure how I missed that but I knit that section once and then just moved on to the next. I’m not going to go back and fix it because I’m so far into the next section already so my shawl will just be a truncated version. I may have to adjust later sections to make it feel proportional but I’m still debating. It’s quite hard to get a picture of lace but it is looking great. It has a beautiful sheen to it and a lovely drape.

For the Theodore Wrap I’m just knitting away slowly at the body. I never get much done at any given time, just a couple rows here or there, but I’m still chugging away on it. I have brought it to work with me today to knit on at lunch. They rolled out new social clubs recently but, even though I voted for a crafting club in the email that went out, there isn’t any knitting club for me to formally attend. I know of one other knitter at work (she sometimes takes me spot outside on nice days) but it would be cool to see who else knits at my company. Ever since my ex husband left our company for a new job I’ve felt a little lonely at work. I need to find some new work friends.
