Sweater weather

It’s finally starting to cool down here in NC. I know it’s a false fall and won’t last but I’ll take it. I’ve been sitting outside knitting with the pregnant stray cat who we’ve been taking care of as best we can. She’s a tiny young thing and yet so hugely pregnant. It’s hard to know how to best help her but my heart demands that I do something for her.

Thanks to all the outside knitting (including today during my work lunch), the sweater is coming along quickly.

I made significant progress at lunch today and I’m thinking it time for another try on to check the length of the ribbing. I have a long torso so I imagine I’ll go past what the pattern recommends but I’m not sure where I really want it to end at the moment. I figured I’d knit until it feels right.

I’ve made no progress on my Daydreams shawl. The plan/hope was to finish before mid October so it could be entered in competitions but I’m not feeling it. I’m starting to debate other projects. Maybe I’ll go through my stash and see if any of my yarn speaks to me.
