I’ve finally recovered from being sick and got to enjoy my 35th birthday last week. It really was lovely. I had taken off Thursday for myself and Friday off with my husband. We went to the Melting Pot and had a delicious meal for my birthday. We got to see his family on Saturday at my favorite restaurant. Two of my sister-in-laws had gifts for me! One gave me a beautiful yarn bowl and the other gave me a book of Agatha Christie inspired short stories. We had recently discussed our mutual love of Miss Marple. I also got to go by the yarn store and pick-up some super soft cotton with a gift card to Warm and Fuzzy from my husband. I have an idea for it but I’m struggling with the actual crocheting of it so I’ve asked one of my crochet-crafty friends to help this week.
I did get to do a lot of knitting with my time off and weekend. I finally got through separating off the sleeves for my Eun Sweater.
I’m not sure why but the designer didn’t bring the pattern from the raglan increases all the way down. It’s just a simple rib line but I kept going with it so that I wasn’t just knitting stockinette in circles. Now I have the daunting task of just length. It’s going to slow down but I’m hoping that I can keep up the motivation before it gets cold. It feels positive that it looks like an actual sweater.
I haven’t worked on my Beach Daydreams shawl at all. It’s still sitting on my desk waiting for my attention. It’ll take me a bit to find where I am again but once I do I’m sure it’ll start progressing quickly again. I’m hoping to have that one done by October so I need to get going on it again. The rows are short now but it won’t always be that way.

Sounds like a wonderful birthday weekend. You are the same age as my oldest son.
Happy Birthday! Sounds like a lovely couple of days.
