It was wonderful to have a little break from work for Thanksgiving. I didn’t work on my sweater at all but got a ton of progress done on my stranded socks. In fact, I finished the first sock.
I started the toe Wednesday night, got through most of the foot on Thursday when we had Thanksgiving with my husband’s family, did the heel on Friday, and then finished off the tiny little cuff on Saturday when we had Thanksgiving with my family. The yarn is beautiful. It really does look like some kind of gemstone. It was an excellent choice of yarn by friend poll.
In other news, we adopted a cat! His name is Casper. He’s 8 and super sweet. The picture below is him at the SPCA where he made me melt. I didn’t expect to want to have a new family member so soon after losing Beau but I know I can’t wait forever and Ash was definitely lonely by himself. I can’t wait to continue getting to know know little Casper and finding out how he does with yarn. He liked the string toy at the SPCA so I have some concerns but we’ll make it work.

I love your choice of colors on this sock! So cute! So is your Casper! Last night I learned tubular cast on and got my sweater vest started.
That’s so exciting! You’re going to kick sweater vest butt
