Back on track

I’m not sure I’m entirely through my slump but I’m pushing and making progress. Right now I’ve got three projects going – the bias advent wrap, my spicy mood chart, and the Baggu pouch.

Ash loves being in the way, can’t you tell?

The Baggu pouch has been doable so far. My biggest problem with it is that it’s done on tiny needles with a tightly knit fabric so it makes my hands sore to work on. Right now I’m still on the border which is intentionally dense it seems. Hopefully as I get past that it will ease up and become more comfortable to work on. I ordered the “click clack metal clasp” the project calls for from the CraftSurprise shop on Etsy as recommended. It’s coming from China (so much for Etsy being for artists…) so who knows when it will get here.

I love the texture but it’s hell on the hands.

I’m proud of myself for using only yarn from my stash. The dark green (fiberstory FAVE sock in Liv) was originally intended for a Stephen Wests MKAL but I ended up frogging the shawl after a couple clues because I wasn’t digging the look. His patterns are a bit hit or miss for me so I’m not sure why I even bothered. The light green (Fuzz Family for Kraeo Twisted Sister Fingering in Pistachio) (I know it looks white but I promise it’s a very light green) is the leftovers from my Passeggiata by Janina Kallio. It’s such a small bag that I’ll probably still have yarn left over but that just means I have to keep digging through Ravelry for more patterns for these yarns. It’s a fun challenge.

  1. The yarns look so pretty on your pouch. I’m assuming you will need to line it. I’m looking forward to learning from you. I wonder if my daughter might light a knitted clutch purse??

    • The light green is the “liner” for this one. I wasn’t planning on doing a cloth liner (I have other patterns I want to make with that idea though)
