My husband is currently in Switzerland and I’ve been boredom cleaning more than I’ve been knitting. The first day he was gone (within hours of dropping him off at the airport), I found myself scrubbing the cabinets in the kitchen. I’ve since deep cleaned both bathrooms and have home improvement plans in the works. I’ve been trying to keep myself busy while he’s away. I had a lovely brunch with two of his sisters, am hosting my papa for dinner tonight, and have dinner and crafting plans with friends tomorrow. I’ve got an audiobook I’ve been listening to (Shield of Sparrows) and have exhausted my backlog of podcasts.
I have been doing some knitting but not as much as I expected and mostly on the Jelly Roll Blanket. I’m starting to get towards the end of it. Pictured below is all the yarn I have left to use in it and the grey for the i-cord border.
I love this project so much. It’s not going to be bed sized but I’m a short person so it’s going to fit me as a throw blanket perfectly. Ash likes it too.
I am working on the Beexwax Mitts but slowly. Jelly Roll is keeping me occupied more than the mitts. I also discovered the Linearity Wrap by SweaterFreak and I think that’s going to be my next project. I have yet to pick out yarn for it (like I need more yarn…) but I keep going back and looking at it so I think that’s a good sign that I’m feeling inspired by it. It looks like it’ll be a fun knit. I won’t start until after I’ve finished Jelly Roll but that’s going to be coming up sooner than later. Especially if I run out of cleaning to do.

Haha, that’s my excuse and I’m sticking with it – my hubby never leaves so I never do deep cleaning. I really do need to get back to decluttering our bedroom. I know I’d like the room more without all the clutter. Love your colorful blanket.
It’s a good excuse!
