I’m honestly not sure if I’m going back to my sweater or not. I finished my Point Edwards Mitts by Fairlight Fibers.
You’d think that meant I would go back to my sweater finally. Nope. I immediately cast on Hoodola by Laura Nelkin instead. I tried working on that for a while but wasn’t getting sucked in. Then I tried picking up my French Market bag that I started last May. I wasn’t feeling that one either. The yarn is so scratchy. The plan is to felt it but working with itchy yarn is not my jam.
Finally I started a Jelly Roll Blanket by Kay F Jones. That one has stuck so far. I don’t think I’ll be able to stick to it long enough to finish quickly but it’s enjoyable so far. I’m through the first strip, setting the width of the blanket, and on to the second row.
I’m hoping that I can finish by the end the year. Honestly looking at my scrap yarn I’m wondering if I’m going to have enough. It would be a shame to have to buy new yarn for a scrappy blanket but if I don’t have enough…
I should probably just frog my sweater. If I haven’t gone back to it after this long then it’s clearly not inspiring me and I need to find something else to make with the yarn. It’s good yarn and I certainly have a lot of it. I’m sure I’ll find something to make with it but this sweater isn’t the one. Oh well. Was worth trying.

Dont feel bad I haven’t gotten back to my sweater either. I got lost on where I was because i hadn’t touched it in so long so I frogged it. Will try again another time.
Yeah I’m probably in the same position. We’ll both make sweaters some other time.
It’s hard to frog but if you aren’t enjoying the project you probably won’t enjoy wearing it. On the other hand I can admit I’m not loving knitting the Pressed Flowers Cardigan but I would definitely wear it because I’ll be so glad to get it off the needles!!
Pressed Flowers is so gorgeous! You can do it!
