Spinning and gift progress

I finished my spinning project! The yarn came out beautifully. I haven’t washed or measured it yet so I’m not sure how much I’ve made but I’m hoping to make a handspun Traveler Cowl. I’m not great at measuring how much yarn I’ve produced so I’m going to have to be conservative with my guesstimate. I had two mostly full bobbins and made two medium sized skeins.

I’m still working on the Point Edwards Mitts for my friend. The first one is complete and I started on the thumb increases on the second last night. These are coming out bigger than the first pair. Which is good because he has bigger hands than I do but I had to do some adjusting to not make them too large.

It’s funny to me that after reviewing last year I realized I needed to branch out from purple and then my first projects of 2025 are still purple. But to be fair, my friend picked the color for his mitts and the yarn was already on the wheel.

I haven’t worked on my sweater at all. There’s some guilt over ignoring it but life is too short to knit on a project that isn’t inspiring. I know if I sit down and dedicate some time to it I will get sucked in but I’m just not there yet. I’m planning other projects after the mitts. We’ll see if I go back to this sweater.
