In spite of

My Travel Mode 2.0 is progressing quickly in spite of how busy and overwhelmed I am at work. Most of the time when I’m feeling like this I go home and just crash. Veg on the couch with my phone. This project is so engaging that I go home and find the energy to work on it a little bit. It helps that we had a four day weekend. My husband had covid over the long weekend so we stayed home so he could rest and I got a lot of knitting done.

Even that is now an old picture. I’m through the first intermission, the center, and have just started the second intermission section. The pattern is so well written and magically I’ve always been at the right count for number of stitches. It helps that I’ve got these awesome stitch markers to keep track of what I’m doing and where.

This weekend I have plans for lunch and knitting with one of my crafty friends. He’s friends with a local yarn shop owner so we’re going to go by the shop and knit (see: buy something I don’t need). That should push me through the last intermission and well into the second half. I’m looking forward to hanging out and getting some dedicated knitting time in. I do think I might have to buy some more yarn but it’s the shop where I picked up the yarn originally so that should be easy enough. That said, I’m not ready to give in just yet. We’ll see if I need more or if I can make it.
