Color changes

I’ve started Travel Mode 2.0 by Susanne Sommer and I’m loving it. It’s a simple and clear pattern. Well written. It feels like just as I get a little tired of one color and repeat, it moves to a new section and I start working with a new color and repeat.

Last time I showed my colors for the project but I have since changed one of them. I started with the light grey and realized it just wasn’t the right choice. So I went by Oak City Fibers where I got the other colors and ended up with a nice burnt orange to use instead. Originally I had a blue but the woman at the shop directed me to the burnt orange and I was quickly sold on it. The trick she gave was to look at the colors using greyscale on my phone to see the contrast.

Since the last picture of the skein of burnt orange ready to go I’ve finished the first section with it. It looks perfect. I’m glad I went back and got a skein of the same kind so they match well.

Even since then I’ve finished the pink and started on another section of the green. It’s moving very quickly. I’m glad to have a project I’m enthusiastic about.
