Acquisitions

Okay so I went yarn shopping again. I was talking with my husband and we had a kind of funny idea that I need to see through. So I went to my local yarn store and picked up some Quince & Co. Phoebe in 4 different colors. I’m doing a mood tracker of sorts. I won’t go into too much detail but I’ve started tracking and we’ll see how far I get with it. I’m not great with year long projects but this one sounds interesting. I’m a huge sucker for data. I’ve tracked my moods for years now and I love looking back to see when things were going well or analyzing what was going on when I had a bad day. This is going to be a visual representation of that.

Ursa (brown), Vesta (orange), Juno (light blue), and Orion (dark blue)

I’ve also been working on my Duchess of Devonshire quite a lot. It’s going quickly. I do think I’m going to end up with some extra yarn so I’ve been thinking of ideas how to use up the leftover yarn. I’ll have to see how much I have left at the end. I’m about 75% of the way through and I’m finishing up the first skein.

This was a wonderful lazy Sunday afternoon.

I haven’t touched my bias advent scarf but I have knit night this week and I anticipate that’s what I’ll be working on. I may take the Duchess and get it to the lace section then switch to the bias scarf for a simple project to work on while socializing.

  1. What a great idea for a mood tracker! And I love the colors you picked. It’s nice to have a couple of things to work on, so you can pick whichever matches the situation (and level of concentration you need). 🙂
