I’m still working on the sweater. It’s going slowly. It feels like I’m working on it all the time but not making much progress. I have started a side project. I’m going a 2023 temperature scarf.
So far I’ve realized that the weather in NC is a mess and it’s going to stink to weave in all the ends from the color changes. But I’m loving how it’s coming out! I am worried it’s going to be insanely long but I’m not willing to change my yarn or “pattern” so it is what it is. I’m not sure it’s even going to get worn. It’s more an exercise in patience than a wearable project. That seems a bit like a shame to me but I love knitting and it doesn’t always have to be a wearable.

That’s my problem – trying to figure out a project for a temperature XXX. I don’t use blankets or wear scarves. Thought about just making a scarf as a wall hanging but no.
I think a wall hanging is a really interesting idea!
For my temperature blanket last year I ended up adding fringe to the sides because I did not want to weave in all the ends and it turned out fabulous!
That’s clever! I didn’t think of adding fringe to the sides. I’ve already started weaving in ends now but I got some grey yarn so I can do a boarder once it’s all done.
I was going to do a border before I came up with fringe, the great part is you have a whole year to figure out what you want to do!
Very true!
