Shopping and crochet

I’ve already given up on the Belhaven Cowl by Ysolda Teague. It’s beautiful but I can tell that I don’t have that much brioche in me before Christmas. I picked up some new yarn thinking of making a cowl but don’t have a firm direction yet. I started with the Bandana Cowl by Purl Soho but decided that it didn’t seem much like the recipient. I’ve also considered the GAP-tastic Cowl by Jen Geigley but haven’t settled on it yet. We’ll see what I end up working on. At least I still have plenty of time.

In other news, new sweater yarn arrived! This is intended for Side by Side by Susanne Sommer. I’m excited to start but have other projects that have to come first. We’ll see how long it takes me to get going on it.

Even though I keep saying I have other projects taking priority, I still started a crochet project. At the moment it’s more like a sampler but I have some ideas for it. I’m not the best at crochet (yet?) so we’ll see how long I stick with this.

  1. I can’t wait to see your finished Side by Side. I think I have that one saved too. I have recently picked up my crochet needle again too. My blank has started to bore me so I started a crochet basket weave blanket that is going a lot faster. I’m sure I will share some pictures later this week. so many projects and so little time! 🙂
