I’ve completed my Step by Step Cardigan and I love it so much. It’s definitely one of my favorite knits of all time. I wore it to work today and have been walking around all day asking everyone if they like my sweater just so I can tell them I made it myself. It hasn’t been blocked yet but it’s warm, cozy, and just so perfect.
I ended up going with clear buttons to not distract from the beautiful yarn. A friend had suggested some tan-ish wood buttons but I couldn’t find any that seemed to fit and already had the clear set. Once I block it I’ll have a small photoshoot with it. I’d like to say I’ll get it done this weekend but North Carolina is expecting a major winter weather event so I’m uncertain if that will get done anytime quickly.
I have started a new project. I started the Ridge Trail Fingerless Mittens by Jenny Gillard with some yarn from my stash. This year I want to make more of an effort to use or rotate my yarn stash. If it’s been sitting for a while then it’s probably time to sell or donate. Maybe that’s what I’ll do while trapped inside by snow and ice. That and cozy up in my new sweater with the cats and husband.

The clear buttons are perfect. Sweater is indeed great.
Thank you!
