I have officially started my Christmas knitting. Have I done more than cast on? No, not really… But I did start and that counts for something!

Any guesses on what I’m making for my in-law’s white elephant exchange? Big hint – I’ve knit this project more than once before.

In sweater news, it looks exactly the same even though I’ve been knitting on it constantly. It’s a pleasure to sit and work on in the evenings when hubs and I are watching something or I’m listening to an audiobook (Quicksilver by Callie Hart right now) but I recognize how far I have to go and am starting to feel a bit daunted.

I don’t have great pictures of it yet but I’ve also been opening an advent that one of my very talented dyer (and knitter, crocheter, weaver, spinner…everything fibery) friend has made for me. I have a vague idea on what I want to do with it but it’s a crochet project so we’ll have to see how it goes.
