Today is the day for the snip snip (neutering) for little Mo! My husband has the whole week off for his birthday tomorrow and has been kind enough to do the shuttling to and from the clinic. Mo very much didn’t want to get in his carrier this morning but we got him locked in and situated.
In knitting news, I’ve started a new project! I’m working on the Hot Chocolate Wrap by Lisa Hannes. The yarn I’m using is Swoon Fibers Cashmere DK in beetroot and it’s gloriously soft. The pattern for this is engaging and interesting. I appreciate that the cables only go in one direction so I don’t have to constantly compare and make sure I know if they’re going left or right.
I’ve also agreed to knit the Edinburgh Seamless Dog Sweater by CalicoRadio Knits for my sister-in-law’s dog Charlie. I went by a local yarn store, Great Yarns, on their reopening weekend after their renovation and picked up some Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok Worsted in the color wild thyme. I’m not sure when I’ll start this project but Charlie is a tiny dog so I can’t imagine it will take me too long to knit him a little sweater. The cold weather is finally here in NC so I guess I should go ahead and get started on it for him.
