I’ve finished my Simple Thing kerchief! I’ll be honest that I don’t see myself using it often but I enjoyed knitting it anyway. I needed something like this to get me back into it. That makes it worthwhile. Come Christmas, if it’s still in my ‘not often worn’ pile, I’ll add it to my annual project destash. At this point it’s a tradition for me to bring the finished items that aren’t getting used to my family and my husband’s family’s get togethers for distribution. It makes me feel better to send things to new homes where they might get used more often.
Now that I’ve finished that project, what’s next? I haven’t forgotten my sweater but I also haven’t worked on it. Either I’ll go back eventually or I’ll frog it and use the yarn for something else. We’ll see. I’m not ready to make that determination.
I did start some Beeswax Mitts but I’m not loving the pattern as much as I did for the cowl. It seems to me that they have the cables wrap all the way around the hand and that just seems weird to me. I’m not sure it’s silly enough to stop me, but it does feel pretty silly.
It’s not the best new picture but I also spent some time working on my Jelly Roll Blanket this past weekend.
We had our somewhat regular D&D game with friends and it was the project that got brought along to be worked on. We didn’t kick any butt this session but we did get to explore a neat castle. If you’ve never explored a castle and knit at the same time, let me tell you, it’s pretty great.

Love the idea of sharing items don’t wear much to family for possible use.
