I’m doing that indecisive thing again. I started that pair of socks for my husband and got through a couple repeats before frogging them. They were nice looking but working on them made my hands hurt. I think I need to go up a needle size. I’m not sure if it’s the density of the fabric it’s making or just the size of the needles but it’s not working for me. Time to cut my losses and start again.
The socks aren’t working out but my Jelly Roll blanket is going amazingly. I’ve made great progress on it and it’s still a pleasure to work on. I finished a column while at my parent’s house and took the opportunity of open floor space to take a new picture of it. It’s starting to get big and isn’t much of a travel project anymore.
I did recently get some yarn for a new project as well. I’ve got this bag, the French Market Bag by Polly Outhwaite, that I use as a knitted project bag. It’s the perfect size and shape for a good knitting bag and I’m ready to make a new one. I purchased some Lion Brand Fisherman’s Wool to replicate it as closely as I can. My big concern is that the first bag is felted and I don’t remember how large I made it. I’ll follow the pattern but I feel like I modified it somehow. My notes do say I ran out of the green yarn. But knitting is an adventure and I’m looking forward to playing with felting a project again. We’ll see how long it takes me to get started on it.

Too bad about the socks. They were beautiful.
Yeah I’m a bit bummed. But they’re just not working out. Time to regroup
Good luck replicating the bag, I’m sure your instincts will kick in!
