Changed my mind

I’m still absolutely enthralled with the Jelly Roll blanket. I went by Warm ‘n Fuzzy, my local yarn store, at lunch today and picked up yarn for the i-cord border. Am I close to being ready to knit the border? No. Am I super excited about it anyway? You’d better believe it. I had a couple options for the border and picked up the far left in the photo below but I think I’ve changed my mind.

I liked the speckles and thought that would be a nice touch to the border. But then I took the photo below just outside work and now I’m thinking that the grey is too light in this choice.

I need to go back and pick up the far right in the first photo or go by the other local yarn store, Great Yarns, and find a darker grey. I’m so spoiled for choice when it comes to local yarn shops. I could also save it for the weekend and go by Oak City Fibers. Their online store has some options that seem like possibilities.

But seriously, look how quickly the Jelly Roll blanket has grown! I’ve been idlily looking at ideas for other projects but haven’t wanted to start anything else yet. I’m tempted by the Baseline Cardigan by Susanne Sommer but I’m still feeling burned from my last sweater attempt. I’m not there yet. I’ll get there. Right now I’m going to keep focus on what’s bringing me knitting joy.
