I finished my French Cancan by Mademoiselle C. It’s beautiful and soft but I kind of forgot that the edging just kind of ends out of the blue. I feel like the pattern needs some more polishing. I wish I could have modified it but didn’t have any ideas on how to improve it. I don’t have great pictures of it yet. It’ll need to be blocked and stretched. That’s a later in the week task.
I did officially start my swatch for the Side by Side by Susanne Sommer.
I can tell that I’m going to love working with this yarn. It’s so interesting with all the colors as you work through it! I wish the bumps stood out a bit clearer but I’m pretty close to gauge so I don’t want to adjust the needle size too much. I think it’ll be a little bit larger than the pattern calls for but that’s kind of what I prefer in sweaters in general. It’s daunting to cast on a sweater. I feel like maybe I was avoiding it a little bit focusing on Christmas knitting. We’ll see how long it takes me to really get going on it.

I love that grey yarn! What brand is it?
It’s La Bien Aimee Corrie Confetti in Greybow. They discontinued it and I got several skeins of it (hopefully enough!) for cheap
Love the bright bits of color.
Me too!
