Mojo

The cat is doing okay and I’m back with my knitting mojo. I knew if I kept at it I’d find my motivation and joy again. It’s a bit strange as he’s hoping up on chairs and the couch again. He hasn’t done that in years since he was diagnosed with diabetes. I’m not complaining! Just a bit surprised.

I see the finish line for Travel Mode 2.0. Even in the below picture I’ve gotten more done. I have one section of green and the last grey triangle. That’s it. I can handle that.

I’m actually hoping to finish the body this week. It does have an i-cord boarder which I’m slightly dreading but I think will really help make it look finished and professional. Do I block before adding the boarder or after? I haven’t decided yet. I’m a bit worried about some of the colors bleeding because the orange and purple both leave stains on my fingers when I work with them. But that’s why color catchers exist.

It’s my birthday on Thursday and my lovely husband is taking me to my favorite yarn store this weekend. He’s offered to buy me whatever yarn I want. I’m thinking of shopping for the Beeswax Cowl by Amy van de Laar. I want a set for myself for when it gets cold. I’ve always wanted a full matching set but for some reason I never make it happen. That said, I’m not shopping for yarn in advance so I’m not sure what I’ll end up with and may change my mind if I fall in love with other yarn while at Warm ‘n Fuzzy. I’ll be sure to share what I end up with.

Happy knitting!
