I got through the center of my Travel Mode 2.0. It wasn’t terrible but was a tricky mess of needles for a little bit. I take back what I said about this being an easy project. The pattern is extremely well written though. I only had to reach out to my knitting group lifeline for advice once and that was because of me misreading something, not a pattern issue.
I haven’t been knitting much recently. There was a big scare with one of our cats, Beau, and it’s definitely taken the wind out of me. He made it through but the prognosis isn’t good. It’s time to make him comfortable.
He’s had diabetes for a couple years now but as part of the attempt to keep him around for longer we had a continuous glucose monitor installed. The data coming from it isn’t great but it does make him look a bit like a cyborg cat.
I’ve had him since he was about 6 months old. My ex husband and I visited the SPCA to “just look” and I fell in love with him. This is the youngest picture I could find of him (of course it’s on some knitting) but he looks almost exactly the same. He’s not been doing such a great job of keeping himself clean for a while now but he’s still beautiful and fluffy.
I will cherish every day I have left with him.
