Loopy

I finished Loops by Martina Behm.

However, you’ll noticed the strategic picture taking that’s cut off the second armhole. When I went to graft the two live ends together I accidently twisted the piece. Of course I didn’t notice until after I had finished and woven in my ends. So now I’ve put Loops in time out. I’ll go back and unpick to fix it but it needs a little sit down first. I tried putting it on anyway and I’m also just not sure if I’d wear it. So it’s going to be hard to go back and fix something that wouldn’t be getting used. I’m more about the knitting part than the wearing part.

I’ve started a couple new projects but nothing that stuck. I tried  Water by Sylvia McFadden with that Mirasol Inka yarn but it just doesn’t seem to be a good match. The yarn is so beautiful that I wondered if I could just make something simple without a pattern but when I started working on that I wasn’t feeling it. I went through my stash for ideas and settled on ripping out the Nectar blanket to salvage the Fuzz Family for Kraeo Uncle Mulberry yarn. Now I’m working on Umaro by Jared Flood. I’m not sure if it’s going to stick yet or not. We’ll see.

  1. That feeling when you thought you were done and it turns out you’re not… that’s a tough one. Loops knows what it did and and can sit there and think about it.

  2. I struggle with that frog/not frog thing if I’ve knit something I”m not in love with or has an issue. It really depends on the yarn. Hopefully you’ll find a good marriage of yarn and pattern for what you’re working on now!
