I’m certainly getting through some knitting these days. Zig meets Zag is finished. I defeated the simple repeat (it almost got me) then washed and blocked it over the weekend. The picture isn’t entirely true to color (it’s more purple in person) but it’s pretty close.
Also, did you know the proper name for a female mannequin is Judy? I went digging through the internet to see if there was an initial female model and came across a Wikipedia article about dress forms where the female is listed as Judy and the male James. It kind of makes me want a male version so she has a partner but I don’t know that I need one or have enough space.
I did work on my sweater for a little bit but wasn’t feeling it so I cast on a pair of socks. I’m making the Speckled Space Socks by Amanda Stephens. I’m doing them two at a time because this is the only way I’ve found to avoid second sock syndrome.
The yarn is Plymouth Reserve Fingering in the colorway cobalt reef. I picked this yarn up on a vacation to Asheville back when my fiancé was the boyfriend. My notes say I got it at Friends & Fiberworks for $26.50. It’s been sitting in my stash since Jan. 2022 so it’s about time I use it. I won’t use it all up on these socks as I prefer mine to be ankle length but it’s still a good start on it.

HaHa, in your stash for a year. That’s baby stash. I did 2 at a time for many years but now I enjoy 9″ circulars.
This does make me wonder about the oldest item in my stash. I’ll have to go digging.
Maybe one day I’ll have a Judy of my own and a nice knitting room for her to live in.
Great zig zags!
I hope you do!
Your cowl certainly finished up beautifully! Love the colors in your sock yarn!
