Quick work

My Oyes took me 15 days to complete. That’s got to be a record for me. I’m a terribly slow knitter and it feels like even the simplest projects take me ages. I’m not sure what had me so motivated to work on it but I’m glad I zoomed through it. The fiancé is pleased with it and that’s really all that matters.

Ignore that end you can see sticking out. (It’s going to drive me crazy but I can’t do anything about it right now).

I did pick up my sweater a little bit but only knit a row or two before finding a new project to distract me. I’ve pulled out some yarn to knit the Roxana Reversible Beanie by Heather Walpole. The yarn is Maille Name Is Paulette from Lil Weasel.

It even looks soft!

I got this yarn in Paris at Lil Weasel while there for Valentine’s Day with my ex-husband. (He wasn’t my ex-husband at the time.)

The best part of Paris was Monet’s waterlilies at the Orangerie Museum. They’re huge! I’d always wanted to see them and when we finally did I gave in to tears.

This one was my favorite. Such rich blue and purple.

I don’t travel much anymore (since buying a house money has been tighter) but I have lovely memories and photos of my past trips.
