It feel so silly but I’ve always wanted a mannequin to display my knitting on. Something tall and easy to drape shawls around. Well over Christmas I finally got one. It was a gift to myself from myself so I get all the credit (not like I told anyone I wanted it anyway). It’s wonderful! I set it up Thursday and immediately pulled out Color Affection to try it out.
It’s fairly light so I’ll have to be careful to not overload it but one shawl is no big deal. It’s when I start going crazy and putting all my knitting on it that would be a problem.
Speaking of all my knitting, I recently gave some away. My scarf/shawl holder was getting full and I wasn’t cycling through things often so I figured it was time to let some things go. My mom and sister-in-laws (some of them still soon to be sister-in-laws) got to pick what they wanted. It was hard to let go of some of them but I know I can always knit them again if I really miss it and I’m always knitting new things so it’s not like I’ll miss them for long. Plus it feels good to know that my loved ones get to wear something I made.

So jealous. I have a dress mannequin on my wishlist but no one seems to buy it. I’m going to have to follow your example and buy it for myself.
Do it!
