I started on the back of my sweater on Nov. 30th. I finished on Dec. 26th. It’s a miracle that it didn’t take me longer. I’m an extraordinarily slow knitter and to get 25 inches of garter done in less than a month is amazing to me. There was an incident with my brother’s new dog pawing at it and pulling some yarn out but I know it was an accident so I’m trying to be graceful about it.

I have to admit that I’m starting to wonder if I’m working on the wrong size. It seems incredibly wide for the back of the sweater. It’s definitely too late to change now though. I’ll still be happy if I end up with an oversized and extra comfortable cardigan. Now I’m going to move on to the front pieces. The trouble with that is that there are two of them (same with the sleeves (obviously)) and I hate knitting the same thing more than once. I’m still determined so it’s going to happen but it might be a slog to get through it.
