Simple shawls

I’m crazy about garter stitch shawls. They’re generally pretty easy to knit but are so beautiful in their simplicity. Right now I’m working on Color Affection by Veera Välimäki and it’s been so soothing to work through it. I’ve reached the point where I’m adding the third color and I’m excited how they’re all playing together.

Ash being bad.
Simple allows for drinking.
Adding in the third color!

The yarn was originally for the Stephen West 2022 MKAL but I got through clue 2 and realized that I just wasn’t feeling the piece. So I frogged it and found a pattern to repurpose the yarn. Originally for the MKAL I had fiberstory FAVE sock in the colors Aegean, Liv, and Tranquil but that didn’t work quite as well for the Color Affection shawl so I picked up Snow as well. The fiancé has his eyes on the Liv colorway so I’ve put that aside so that we can find an appropriate pattern for him. We both liked the Dipped Infinity Scarf by Laura Chau but once I cast on and started knitting it didn’t seem to fit the yarn so I frogged that too.
