Dear Blog,

I’m so sorry I ignore you as often as I do. It’s just that I end up getting so busy with things that aren’t interesting to write about. Who but me cares about all the job stories I can’t really share on a public forum, or about the neat cat-lady thing I got, or about the house the Hubby and I are so close to owning.

That last one is probably at least kind of interesting.

I’m feeling a little shy about posting this since well, you never know, but Hubby and I did end up finding a house. We close in 2 weeks and 1 day (yes I’m counting down like Christmas).

I’m going to admit that it doesn’t have the 10 acres, or pastureland, or barn that we I was aiming for, but it is a home that we will be happy in. It doesn’t have enough land for sheep but I’m hoping that it does have enough land or at least a couple of goats. We’ll get our toes wet on a smaller scale and make some improvements to the home until we feel ready to move on.

On the knitting front I have some finished products to share.

My Girasole is done and already well loved.

The cats LOVE it. It’s such a shame I picked black because it ends up covered in fur. Both the Hubby and I tend to use it as our go-to couch cover when watching TV or a movie. We can’t share it but both of us can use it as a full sized blanket individually.

The Power Knitter is still chugging away at his. He’s on the border but has been swamped with work lately so he’s slowed down significantly. That border seems to go on and on and on and on. We’re seeing him this weekend for a 4th of July party.

The Missuri Suri is also finished but I’m not as pleased with it. The middle section is under spun and the color is not a pretty as I was hoping.

Currently, I’m working on a pair of socks that are way too big for me. The Power Knitter is going to get a nice gift when I’m done. Amusing they fit. They’re really big socks.
