I believe I may have found a way to shame myself info working on projects more consistently. That progress box at the top? That’s here to stay.
This doesn’t mean I won’t have stealth projects occasionally but it will save me from having start-itis and having to constantly explain why I’m not working on something else. A great example of this would be the color-work Nook case I started two weeks ago then abandon when I decided to switch to Kindle and they dimensions were just different enough to annoy me.
Hopefully this public list of projects will spur me on to finishing long term projects. Just because I’m a progress knitter doesn’t mean I don’t want the project!
Speaking of getting things done (you know you like that transition) Power Knitter gave me special permissions to work on Girasole while I was vacationing last week.
Progress was massive but now I’m so far ahead I have to curb my desire to work on it while he catches up! I’m lucky he’s such a good sport!
Without my preferred project I should be working on the Swallowtail Shawl but honestly I think I’ve just burnt out on this particular project.
I’m doing what I can before April 10th but it’s become a project I have to force myself to work on (which isn’t working well with some incredibly good books getting in the way). I’d like to get it done before April 10th to have it as another possibility for entry the Carolina Fiber Festival competition. It’s between this and the Evenstar and the Evenstar is hard to resist. Maybe I can enter two?
Hopefully I can also get my current fiber project finished in time (or at least the required 2 ounces of it). I still have a long way to go!
