It finally happened. Mo didn’t show up for breakfast Friday morning and then showed up later that day with a limp. He let me coax him into a carrier and take him over to the emergency vet. We got him all checked out and a plan in place for his limp but it requires that he stays inside with us for at least 10 days so we can give him meds. Sadly, he’s FIV+ so we’re having to evaluate how we’re going to handle him. He deserves a home and honestly, I’ve started to fall in love with his big purry personality. I have an appointment with our regular vet to talk it out. We’ll see what happens. He’s certainly made himself at home in our bed in the meantime.
In knitting news, I’ve finished both sleeves of my Eun sweater! Today I worked on the back ribbing at lunch but realized I’d made a mistake so I’m going to have to take out about a row and a half. Not a big deal but enough that I don’t want to deal with it. Fortunately, I have knit night tomorrow so I’ll get a good amount done while relaxing with my friends and telling them all about Mo.
I’ve also started on a pair of sock-tober socks. It’s with a beautiful Sewrella sock set with the primary yarn being called High Tea. It really is stunning.
This is a simple stranded slip stitch pattern that I’ve done multiple times. At this point I don’t follow real patterns for socks anymore. Most socks I make are for me so I just try them on as I go. It doesn’t work well when I want to knit for someone else but it works well for socks for me. That’s fine though, I’m a very selfish knitter.

I’ve just spent the day, and a LOT of $$, at the vet this week with my kitty. She stopped eating last week just before we went out of town. She still won’t eat cat food but she at least is now eating leftover roasted chicken and some bone stock. She seems a bit more like herself. We live in the woods so cats have to be indoor cats. My son tried to do an outdoor cat last summer but after 6 weeks she never made it back to the house. We have way too many coyotes. 😦
I’m glad she’s at least eating chicken for you. Hopefully all is okay.
